Discover your value within…
One of the most important questions to ask yourself early in life is: What is my gift? What innate talents and skills do I possess that can serve others? That is where your value lies—where joy transforms into productivity and purpose is born.
At a young age, I was able to identify my skill sets, and that gave me unshaken confidence in what I could do and become. Once you understand your gifts, you begin to walk in your calling with clarity and certainty.
5 ACTIONS TO BEGIN TODAY
1. Take a personality test to gain deeper insight into your attributes and how they connect with others.
2. List the things you enjoy doing that could be offered as a service to others.
3. Identify the attributes and skills you need to develop to become exceptional at those activities.
4. Write down your goals, and beneath each goal, list daily habits you must adopt to grow into them.
5. Put it into practice daily. No excuses. Progress is built through consistency.
STAND TALL WHEN YOU DONT FIT IN
Even when you find your purpose, you may not always fit in. In fact, discovering and exercising your gift can sometimes set you apart from others—especially if they have yet to find theirs. Some may not celebrate your clarity, but that’s why self-understanding and strong character are essential.
Your environment may not always be fertile ground for your growth. You may lack a like-minded support system. In these moments, pray on your situation and seek out opportunities to be around people who are also growing and productive in your field. Persistence will align you with the right people, places, and opportunities.
PATIENCE + PERSISTENCE = PROGRESS
Growth takes time. Flowers don’t bloom in a day, and cities aren’t built overnight. Your gift isn’t for show; it’s a light meant to guide and teach others by example. Give thanks daily for the opportunity to develop and refine your talents.
FINAL THOUGHT
Your gifts are not just for you—they are for the world. As you walk in dominion and purpose, know that each day of persistence moves you closer to your goals.
“A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.” — Proverbs 18:16
