When I understand a thing, I do it with intention.
For many years, I didn’t truly grasp the depth and power of Prayer, Praise, and Worship (PPW). Don’t get me wrong—I grew up doing it. But I didn’t understand the why behind it, or the life-altering impact it could have.
What I’ve learned is this: the real power isn’t merely in the act itself—it’s in the relationship being cultivated in that time. It’s the intimacy of the “secret place” where you and The Most High commune without distraction.
Taking time each day to engage in PPW is the most impactful part of the day. Why? Because the more time you spend with someone, the more you reflect their character, values, and attributes. In those moments of focus, I surrender my time, my needs, and my heart—integrating my love for The Most High into the very rhythm of my life.
RESONANCE AND AMPLIFICATION
There’s a well-known saying: “Energy goes where attention flows.” The more energy you give to the things of the Spirit, the more it accumulates, magnifies, and overflows into every part of your life.
- Praise is gratitude—for the big and small blessings. Gratitude shifts your perspective and draws in more to be grateful for.
- Prayer, when grounded in Scripture and aligned with The Most High’s promises, is powerful. His Word does not return void. When we live in obedience out of love and reverence, our prayers align with His will, and in time, He honors them.
- Worship is the love language of the soul—a space where love blooms like a rose garden, cultivated daily as relationship deepens.
PPW is like spiritual training. It builds strength over time. Just as you don’t see muscle growth overnight, your spiritual strength develops through daily diligence. The results are undeniable when you stay consistent.
MAGNETISM: LIKE ATTRACTS LIKE
When I committed to going to the gym, I noticed something interesting: the more I showed up, the more other healthy choices began to flow naturally. Case in point—after running 5 miles or spending 2 hours lifting, panting and drenched in sweat, you’re not going to crave soda or alcohol. You’re going to reach for water, electrolytes, fresh juice, or a protein shake. One good choice sets off a chain reaction of healthier decisions.
It’s the same in the secret place. The more you train your spiritual muscles through PPW, the more you naturally gravitate toward what is good, pure, and life-giving. You begin to lose the appetite for things that drain you spiritually. In fact, those things start to repel you. As you see results—peace replacing chaos, clarity replacing confusion—you aim higher. Momentum builds, and what once required effort becomes a natural, joy-filled part of your life.
PPW is not just an activity—it’s a lifestyle transformation. The more time you spend in His presence, the more your life flows with His peace, clarity, and power.
FINAL THOUGHT
- Psalm 100:4 – Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.
- Psalm 145:3 – Great is the Most High and most worthy of praise.
- Psalm 150:2 – Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness.
- Matthew 21:22 – If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
- Matthew 7:7 – Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find.
- Psalm 91 – Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
The secret place is the training ground for the soul. Just as consistent workouts shape the body, daily Prayer, Praise, and Worship shape the spirit producing strength, clarity, and peace that overflow into every area of life. Over time, you won’t just practice PPW… you’ll live it, and it will live in you.
