WHY I INVEST IN PROVERBS

When you read, you don’t just gather information — you step into the minds of those who wrote the words. You inherit their patterns, perspectives, and sometimes, their paths.

“Early” on, I realized something:
I wasn’t chasing the things that successful people had.
I was chasing the way they thought to get those things.

That shift changed everything for me. Because when you understand a system, you can replicate the principles behind it. You don’t need to mimic someone’s outcome — you just need to master the mindset that made it possible.

WHY KING SOLOMON?

That’s why I’ve always enjoyed studying Solomon — not just as a historical figure, but as a system thinker. He wasn’t just wealthy. He was the wisest. And what intrigued me more than his wealth was how he got it, and what he did with it.

It all started with a sacrifice.
Before he asked for anything, he offered something monumental — and that gesture caught the attention of the Most High. Then came the wisdom. And with it, came cities, gardens, storehouses, ships, and legacy.

We often talk about what Solomon had.
But I’ve found deeper value in understanding how he thought.

WHY I READ PROVERBS

Proverbs, in many ways, is Solomon’s mind on paper. It’s not just about morality or motivation — it’s a manual for mental frameworks:

  • How to lead well
  • How to handle conflict
  • How to deal with money, people, timing, words
  • How to think with wisdom in both simple and complex matters

The more I read it, the more I understand something fundamental:

To do big things, you need big faith — but also structured wisdom.
And to do small things well? You need the exact same framework.

The scale of the work may change.
The thinking behind it doesn’t.

MAKE IT YOUR OWN

Some systems won’t fit you perfectly. That’s okay.
I’ve learned it’s sometimes best to blend different systems, different patterns of thought, and make them your own.

I don’t follow Solomon step-by-step. I don’t idolize.
But I study. I question. I extract.
And I implement what aligns with my purpose and calling.

THE WISDOM IN SIMPLICITY

Most of all, Proverbs reminds me that the simple, repeated disciplines are often what produce the greatest impact over time.

The world often chases novelty.
But I’ve found strength in returning to foundational truths.

Because the deeper the root, the higher the reach.
